Rejuvenating your Garden

One day course

Monday 5th March 2012

Time 0900 -1600

Looking for some guidance on giving your garden a new look, perhaps you would like to try a new layout but not sure where to start?  Karen Forster will take you through a step by step guide on designing and researching a new garden plan.

Please bring along a notebook, pencil and ruler. Plus a drawing of your garden (approx. size)

Costs £25 including tea and biscuits

You will need to bring along your own lunch.

Internet Safety

Setting up an email account

Manage your mail box and practise sending emails

Send Emails photos and other documents

Session Four - 27th Mar

Send and receive Emails

Search the internet for holidays, hotels information, goods and services

Session Five - 3rd Apr

Internet shopping from clothes to holidays

Manage your Photographs

Load your photographs, save them in a folder. Download them on to a memory stick or other device to take to be printed. Place your photographs in a document and resize them. Use photographs in cards or other documents.

Introduction to social networking sites

Using the Internet to make free calls

Share the delights and pleasures of flower arranging.  This workshop is designed to suit the absolute beginner throuhg to those looking for more inspiration.  Students will be given flowers and foliage: all you will need to bring is your favourite vase or pot, some oasis and sharp scissors.

This course is perfect for anyone wishing to take part in an enjoyable and informative session, with the added bonus of making your own floral table arrangement.

At the end of the class you will take home a table arrangement to beautify your home worth £25.

 A fantastic opportunity to learn how to get the most out of your digital camera.

 Session One: Monday 9th July -  Understanding your Digital Camera
How to hold the camera properly, use various applications, scene modes and some basic understanding of exposure controls.

 Session Two: Monday 16th July – Creative Effects with your Photographs
How to use Adobe Photoshop to apply sepia tone, create a vignette (adds depth and mood) effect, replace the sky and re-colour parts of an image.

 Session Three: Monday 23rd July – Improving your Digital Photographs
How to use different applications to alter photographs.

 * Please note the taster content may slightly differ from above as the tutor tailors the     session to suit the groups needs and requests.

 You will need to bring along your own camera and instruction booklets.
